The diaries also reveal the extraordinary courage of the local Filipinos and the guerrilla resistance groups who risked imprisonment or execution to shelter and provide for them. Paulette “PK” Johnson is a nonfiction author who loves writing about military history. Encouraged in her writing by her husband—a retired Air Force pilot and the son of a Navy pilot—and her extended family, PK aims to honor military members and their families.
